Six months from now, the forecast is the calmest thing in the room.
I'm the CFO you bring in for the stretch you actually need one — building the cash-flow forecasts, board decks and fundraise models that let a growing company breathe. Part-time seat, full-time rigor, billed per engagement.
Based in North Chesterfield, VA · I answer by the end of the next business day.
The work that fills a CFO seat.
All of it happens in one file, in your accounting stack, in the language your board reads — not a slide deck that goes stale by Friday.
- 01 Cash-flow forecasting
- 02 13-week runway models
- 03 Board-ready reporting
- 04 Fundraise modeling
- 05 Pricing & unit economics
- 06 Budget vs. actuals
- 07 KPI dashboards
- 08 Investor updates
Never a stale model.
Your forecast follows the actuals as they land — so the runway you see on Monday is the runway you have, not last quarter's optimism.
Everyone reads the same file.
Board, bank and your own team work off one model — no competing spreadsheets, no midnight guesswork before a raise.
The questions founders actually ask me
The honest answer to “can we afford this hire?” is usually already sitting in your numbers. My job is to find it before the board meeting does. — why I keep the model, not just the report.
Q1 Do I actually need a CFO yet?
If you're forecasting on gut and a spreadsheet you're afraid to touch, roughly yes. Most clients are between $1M and $15M in revenue, or have a raise on the horizon. When a full-time CFO is 18 months early, that gap is exactly what I fill.
Q2 How is this billed?
Per engagement — a fixed scope for a fixed fee, and you know the number before we start. Monthly retainers renew each month and you can pause with 30 days' notice. No hourly meter running in the background.
Q3 How fast can you get in?
A fit call this week, a first forecast in your hands inside two weeks. Fundraise models move faster when the deadline demands it — I'll tell you honestly what's realistic on our call.
Q4 Do you replace my bookkeeper or accountant?
No — I work alongside them. They keep the books clean and file the taxes; I turn those books into forecasts, decisions and a board narrative. Everyone stays in their lane.
Q5 What do you need from me to start?
Access to your accounting file, your last two board decks if they exist, and about 90 minutes of honesty about where the money actually goes. I build from there.
Pick the seat you need this quarter.
Every engagement is scoped and priced up front. Start with one, or roll it into a standing CFO seat when you're ready.
Runway Reset
A 13-week cash-flow forecast, a runway readout, and a plain-English memo on what it means. For the founder who needs to know how many months they really have.

Tell me where the company's at and what's keeping you up at night. If I'm the right seat, I'll say so. If you'd be better served somewhere else, I'll say that too — and point you toward someone good. No pressure either way.
I'd rather you never need a full-time CFO before you're ready. Until then, borrow mine.

When I'm reachable
Board weeks run long — if it's urgent, note it and I'll call back same day.
Remote-first, in the room when it counts
Most of the modeling happens remotely and in your accounting stack. For board days and raises, I'll be in the room with you — across greater North Chesterfield and beyond by arrangement.
How invoices land
Engagements are invoiced up front or monthly. Pay by bank transfer or card — whatever keeps your books tidy.
